About Me

Tanner began his investment industry career at Stifel in 2025 after spending five years at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). During his tenure at ADM, he served as a Plant Controller for one of the company’s largest processing facilities, where he was responsible for developing annual manufacturing budgets, evaluating operational efficiency, and allocating energy costs across ADM’s Decatur plants.

Tanner earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Aurora University and holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses. His strong academic background, combined with extensive corporate experience, enables him to provide clients with thoughtful, value-driven financial guidance.

Tanner’s investment philosophy is rooted in long-term growth. He believes in the importance of staying invested and prioritizing time in the market over attempting to time market movements. He approaches investing with a business-owner mindset, focusing on building lasting value rather than pursuing short-term gains.

Outside of work, Tanner is an active member of the Kiwanis Club and the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, reflecting his commitment to community involvement. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
